This dashboard provides real-time data on publicly available conversations about top issues in reproductive health in English, from the selected state or region. Dashboards are provided free of charge, and offer an overall sense of fluctuations in public conversations on reproductive health. However, they should be accompanied with the insights reports on reproductive health, which are published weekly or monthly on Infodemiology.com. The dashboard shows data collected in the past 30 days. The dashboard is split into two sections: 1. Overall conversation about reproductive health and 2. Conversation about reproductive health that specifically mentions policy. Each section of the dashboard displays a series of widgets, or blocks containing information, to show trends in conversation. To view the other health topics, hover over the house icon on the left toolbar and click on the topic. For more information on methods for collecting, aggregating, and analyzing data, see the “Methods” page on Infodemiology.com.
Definitions for each widget are as follows:
Total mentions: the number of unique posts mentioning reproductive health keywords coming from profiles and pages based in the identified region. Percent change shown is in comparison to the prior month.
Potential reach: the maximum number of times each mention could have potentially been seen by online audiences. This is automatically calculated by the platform, based on shares, engagements, followers, account influence, and visitors to a page. Percent change shown is in comparison to the prior month.
Conversation sources: the platforms where conversation is occurring. Due to the nature of Twitter, or "X's" data, it can appear to represent a larger proportion of the overall conversation. It is important to remember that tweets often share links to external sources, such as news articles, outside of Twitter. This characteristic makes Twitter's data valuable for analysis, because Twitter data reflect the broader media landscape, not just the conversations happening within the site itself.
Conversation by group: a bar graph showing the groups related to reproductive health being discussed, ranked by volume. The percent change shown is in comparison to the prior month.
Conversation by theme: a bar graph showing the top ten themes occurring within conversation. The percent change shown is in comparison to the prior month.
Conversation trendlines: a trendline showing variations in conversation by topic. Spikes in the trendline reflect heightened conversation on a specific topic. Click on a specific topic to highlight the trendline for it.
Top terms: top terms or phrases used in conversation.
Top hashtags: top hashtags used in conversation.
