Data are ingested into the dashboard based on complex boolean search queries designed by public health analysts at The Public Good Projects (PGP). Queries are filtered to include relevant information from and/or about the identified state or region, as well as top topics in conversation. Queries are updated on an ongoing basis to reflect current conversation language and trends. All queries are sourced from publicly available content, including social media platforms (e.g., Twitter), news (newspaper, radio, TV, magazines, news agencies, etc.), blogs, forums (Reddit, Tumblr), and video sites (Rumble, YouTube). Content from Facebook and Instagram is not displayed at this time, due to platform sharing limitations. Posts from private accounts, groups, offline channels, and platforms with API sharing limitations are not displayed. Data privacy is taken seriously; conversation displayed on this dashboard reflect broader conversation themes and do not identify individual user accounts. Results reflected show trends from the prior 30-day window.
